Special Ingredient Black Summer Truffles

Black Summer Truffles are a great way to experiment with an unusually expensive ingredient. Summer Truffles are some where between a third and one tenth the cost of regular black truffles. There are milder in flavor and scent but they are still a wonderful alternative. Most likely a special order from a Gelson's or Bristol Farms in Newport Beach, or Grower's Ranch Market in Costa Mesa.
